Food Challenges for Cats...

As cats are used to hunting and capturing their prey in the wild, providing their food in a bowl twice a day or free choice provides no challenge. They would normally spend up to 6 hours/day hunting, stalking, catching and consuming their prey. Providing large chunks of raw meat or chicken wings simulates eating their prey and is also good for their teeth.

Injured or Sick Wildlife

If you find injured or sick wildlife, you are encouraged to bring the animal to our clinic where we can treat and care for them. Often people find an animal and are unsure who they can contact. The best plan is to bring the animal to the clinic were we can assess and then pass them on to fauna rescue carers.

Home Dental Care for your Pets

Healthy Dog Teeth & Gums
Healthy Cat Teeth & Gums
Gingivitis and Periodontitis are oral diseases of the teeth and gums that, if left untreated, can also affect internal organs and tissues such as heart, liver, kidney and joints. Dental disease is largely preventable and manageable through regular veterinary visits and good home care. Visit or phone the clinic to find out what you can do at home to help reduce the risk for your pet, as well as trying to avoid those potentially costly dental procedures. There are many products available including pet toothbrushes & toothpaste, water additives, mouth cleansing gels, as well as specifically formulated diets and treats that help reduce plaque and tartar accumulation and also freshen breath.
